i agree with david. the church is built out of people that have gotten saved and turned away from their old lives of sin. (saved by jesus of course) it goes without saying…. the church cant be filled with practicing sinners who think they are doing a great job. jesus said go and commit this sin no more… if we as believers are at church and one of the brothers starts talking about how he wants his wife to make a little extra money on the side…… so yea we do need to hold each other accountable to gods standards. the church needs to meet in small groups so we actually do get to know each other and let the walls down….our walk has to be more than head knowledge. we must believe in our hearts that jesus paid for each of us. what an amazing god…. tom

I don’t agree with everything David teaches but this article was insightful and helpful so I posted it here.

Feel free to comment on material from within this article but try not to just speak ill of the author of it. You can go to his website if you wish to do that.

Every time I read David Servants website I feel like crawling into a hole and dying. If what he says is true then theres not much hope for me at all as my pathetic attempts toward holiness fall far short.

My suggestion for you is to create your material in my language of Urdu and Punjabi also. It will bring lots of blessings of the Word of God for the Pakistani and Indian Urdu and Punjabi speaking people. For that purpose I as a translator will bring your material into Urdu languages and into Punjabi language as well. Although it will take your low expenses as well, as fund for the Word of God to reach out to the deserving people. I my self, work on a local radio station also. Many times it becomes difficult for us to keep doing this because of being minorities and because of the lack of the financial resources. I will wait for your response.

I’m debating with homosexuals on a website and one of them
quoted the ‘Judge not…..” argument when I presented the
sin of homosexuality.

Using the information in the above article gave me the perfect
answer to refute his argument.

This is so crucial today in a world of no discernment. There are many that are being lead by blind pastors today. Do not dispair but study what David has to say. Do your homework both study and contemplation. Repent of things that hold you back from forsaking all. The Church is the people not an institution. We must build the Church. Thank for the post. I find David Servants entire website despairing. If he is right (which I do not believe he is) then I, and most people haven’t the slightest hope in life as we are not living perfect lives and will go to hell. This is some of the worst legalism I’ve ever come across. David Servant is a pharisee.

This is one of the most insightful teachings on “judging” I have ever read and clarifies the totality of the Scriptures on this subject…I recall in Paul’s last epistle to Timothy, Paul comments on the evil works of Alexander the Coppersmith and the beloved Apostle John also comments on a false teacher/pastor Diotrephes who sought preeminence and refused to receive John.
