I met Brett again recently and he advised me of this paragraph from his upcoming book which I have now read. I applaud his understanding of church leadership, I agree with his ideas on church leadership.

What did disappoint me though was a lack of consistent inclusive language. He uses inclusive language then reverts to the male reference by using "brothers, brethren."

Please Brett, as a young man who must be aware of the importance of using inclusive language please be consistent in it's use. Believe me when I tell you that male language does make a difference to the reader at a sub-conscious and conscious level. The Church is inclusive from God's point of view, make it yours.
