THE KINGDOM OF CHRIST - From Commencement to Completion (video series)- Chapter 6, Revealing the Annointed King Part 4

by Brett Jacobsen
The focus of this teaching is to promote the biblical truth that Christ’s Kingdom is active and increasing right now on this earth, in this age. Erroneous eschatology has detracted from this truth in many circles of the Christian faith.
All of the major eschatological (study of how things end) passages are covered but the end of the world is not the important issue and true eschatology is merely a means to an end- Christ Himself as King of kings. Though we will look at the glorious end of earthly history from time to time, we will more so continually use the scriptures to interpret the scriptures and arrive at the present victorious Kingdom of Christ.
For most Christians this teaching will challenge you deeply in your understanding of the New Covenant and Christ’s Kingdom as well as liberate you greatly in the truth of His Word.
Revelation chapter 4
Below are the scriptures from this teaching so you can read along:
Chapter 4:1
1 After this I looked [a vision], and, behold, a door [thura- portal] was opened in heaven: and the first [protos] voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me [1]; which said, Come [anabaino- go up (lit. or fig.)] up here, and I will show you things which must be hereafter [meta- accompany, among, tauta – follow, after].
[1] “I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, 11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first [protos] and the last…” (Rev 1:10-11)
It is Jesus who sounds the trumpet of His voice- keep in mind when the trumpets of tribulation are blown latter- “seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.” (Rev 8:2)
Chapter 4:2-3
2 And immediately I was in the spirit; and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. [1]
3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald. [2]
[1] He crosses into the spirit realm and is found before God’s throne. The Kingdom of Heaven is with us.
[2] Edenic imagery- the three stones Ez 28:13
Chapter 4:4
4 And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting [1], clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold. [2]
[1] A symbolic representation of the twelve sons of Israel and the twelve apostles (Old Testament and New Testament foundational leadership).
We run into big problems if this is not symbolic but the actual twelve tribes and twelve apostles- The tribe changes and Judas/Matthias.
[2] White clothes = pure like/by Jesus, gold crowns = made kings like/by Jesus.
Chapter 4:5
5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
At that time (shortly come to pass) the Holy Spirit was clearly moving throughout the earth’s realm, yet He is represented as being present in the form of “seven lamps of fire burning before the throne” –
A. This pictures the Kingdom of Heaven on earth.
B. It is just a symbolic picture of the heavenly rule.
C. Both- Holy Spirit is manifest as seven lamps/Spirits in heaven above, before the throne, and He is also omnipresent in heaven below (on earth) “a Lamb … having seven horns and seven eyes” (Rev 5:6).
* “And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;” (Is 11:2)
Chapter 4:6-8
6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass [hualinos- glassy, i.e. transparent] like unto crystal [krustallos] [1]: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
7 And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.
8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within [2]: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come [3].
Ezekiel’s epiphany by the river Chebar, Ezekiel 1:1-28
[1] “And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.” (Ezek 1:22)
Ezekiel was looking up (crystal firmament above the living creatures) whereas John was looking down (crystal sea before the throne) TDOV- Chilton.
Sea – (Can refer to a body of people - Is 60:5, Ezek 26:3, Dan 7:1-3, Ps 98:7, Is 10:22)
* Glass - transparent
* Crystal – krustallos- from a der. of kruos (frost); ice, i.e. (by anal.) rock “crystal”.
The only earthly substance in which flaws cannot be hidden; flaws are magnified.
“And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear [krustallizo- resemble ice] as crystal [krustallizo];” (21:10-11)
“And he showed me a pure river of water of life [John 7:38], clear [lampros- radiant] as crystal [krustallos], proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.” (22:1)
- Ankles, knees, loins, swim (Ezek 47:1-10)
- Crystal refers to the realm of the Kingdom of Heaven.
Corresponding verse:
And I saw as it were a sea of glass [hualinos- transparent] mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. (Rev 15:2)
[2] “And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire. 5 Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man. 6 And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings. 7 And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf’s foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass. 8 And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings. 9 Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward. 10 As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle…” (Ezek 1:4-10-)

Chapter 4:9-11
9 And when those beasts give glory [doxa] and honour [time] and thanks [eucharistia] to him that sat on the throne, who lives for ever [aion] and ever [aion], [1]
10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that lives for ever [aion] and ever [aion], and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
11 You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory [doxa] and honour [time] and power [dunamis]: for You have created all things, and for your pleasure they are and were created.
[1] doxa, time, and eucharistia to Him who 1. is enthroned (ruling) 2. lives in the earthly aions.
