Dear Christisall.org visitor/regular,

 

I am posting this brief letter in hope of seeing the financial support of this ministry increase this year so that I can continue the work which Christ has called me to. For quite some time the weekly outgoings (as minimal as they are) have been at least a few hundred dollars more than what comes in. It isn’t a huge problem to fix but if left as is I will not be able to continue to minister in this capacity.

 

I will not reiterate here a theological basis for my financial support as a ‘completer of the saints’ who ‘labours in the word and doctrine’ (Eph 4:12, 1 Tim 5:17). I have prayerfully considered on numerous occasions getting a part time job but I don’t feel the Lord will allow me to. Every time I ask I feel He wants me to stand as an example of what the New Testament teaches on the subject no matter how hard it is. I also have wanted to run altogether from this ministry a number of times due to the spiritual and financial pressures etc. He then gets me at a good time when I’m stronger in faith and lovingly rebukes my wavering. It would be easy enough if I could just compromise and play the system a little- perhaps preach some nice things in some “churches”, “plant a church” etc. But I cannot, I am called to this reformational road which is a tough one.

 

I would ask that those who have benefited from this ministry and/or those who believe in sending out labourers to serve others, prayerfully consider: to start/continue to give a regular weekly/monthly amount to Christisall.org or to give whatever you can and feel led to. Also, I humbly ask that those who already support us would prayerfully consider an extra once off offering to assist in this season. Sharelle and I have put plenty of our own money in as well.

For those who don’t know what I do, here is a basic list:

 

- Spend time in prayer and the ministry of the Word (Acts 6:4)

- Meet with local and trans-local Christians to teach and equip (at no cost).

- Pray for opportunities to speak with Christians and leaders who God is drawing out of institutional religion into a more Kingdom of Christ lifestyle.

- Write articles and books (I am writing my second book at present ‘The Increase of His Kingdom’. I don’t profit from my books; I am actually giving most away at a cost to the ministry, I also give away e-books and sell some hard copies at cost of print).

- Video teachings (I am almost finished posting on CIA the mammoth vid series called ‘The Kingdom of Christ…’ which has taken many, many hours of my time in study, dialogue, preparation and filming over the past years). I will be doing more reformationally geared videos this year as well as other topics.

- I’m always available to meet with people for biblical counsel, advice, prayer etc.

- This year (God willing) I think the Lord will have me flowing more evangelistically as in years past but in a new underground NT context.

- I do believe that the Lord will release me more apostolically to work with non-denominational communities of believers helping them to build on Christ alone.

 

Most people are unaware of what it takes to present teaching/equipping ministry that is more than your average Sunday lifestyle sermon. Many people unflinchingly give to ministries which have cathedrals/buildings, programmes and other tangible trappings but overlook ones who spend their time in prayer, study and Word ministry.
