THE KINGDOM OF CHRIST - From Commencement to Completion (video series)- Chapter 7, ‘History Past, Now and The End’ Part 2

by Brett Jacobsen

The focus of this teaching is to promote the biblical truth that Christ’s Kingdom is active and increasing right now on this earth, in this age. Erroneous eschatology has detracted from this truth in many circles of the Christian faith.

All of the major eschatological (study of how things end) passages are covered but the end of the world is not the important issue and true eschatology is merely a means to an end- Christ Himself as King of kings. Though we will look at the glorious end of earthly history from time to time, we will more so continually use the scriptures to interpret the scriptures and arrive at the present victorious Kingdom of Christ.

For most Christians this teaching will challenge you deeply in your understanding of the New Covenant and Christ’s Kingdom as well as liberate you greatly in the truth of His Word.

The Kingdom Age in Parallels

Below are the notes from this teaching so you can read along:

Now all these things happened to them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition [warning], upon whom the ends [telos- conclusion] of the world [aion- age] are come. (1 Cor10:11)

‘Heaven’s Underground Blueprint’ prophetic parallel

Former and latter rain

Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming [parousia] of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waits for the precious fruit of the earth [ge- land (of Israel/natural covenant)], and has long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. 8 Be you also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming [parousia] of the Lord draws near [eggizo- make near, be at hand]. (Jas 5:7-8)

Early rain – John & Jesus’ ministry, latter rain – before the great tribulation

First the natural, then that which is spiritual… Prophetic history usually repeats itself in some sense.

Former and latter house

For this says the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; 7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come [Jesus]: and I will fill this house with glory [God’s temple (3 days- John 2:19-21)], says the LORD of hosts. 8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, says the LORD of hosts. 9 The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, says the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, says the LORD of hosts. (Hag 2:6-9)

See that you refuse not him that speaks. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth [Moses], much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaks from heaven [Jesus]: 26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he has promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. 27 And this word, Yet once more, signifies the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. 28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: 29 For our God is a consuming fire. (Heb 12:25-29)

We will see this again because the church has gone back to things that are made.

The End

For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming. 24 Then comes the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. 25 For he must reign, till he has put all enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. 27 For he HAS put all things under his feet. But when he says all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. 28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all. (1 Cor 15:22-28)

You have put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him. 9 But we see Jesus, (Heb 2:8-9a)

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Heb 12:2)
