God Gives the Increase Part 10- Reformation, Revival and Kingdom Increase

Reformation, Revival and Kingdom Increase

Prayer produces church reformation and revival which then produce Kingdom increase
Revival
For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and returns not there, but waters the earth, and makes it bring forth and bud [sprout], that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: (Is 55:10)
God rains on the dry church, so they bring forth and produce seed to be sown, so God can pour out on the world.
REVIVAL IS FOR THE CHURCH, THE EFFECTS ARE FOR THE WORLD
RE vival – back to life
Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waits for the precious fruit of the earth, and has long patience for it, until he receive the early [seed sown] and latter [harvest] rain. (Jas 5:7)
We need God’s rain at every step in every season
Pray in the rain in your region
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. The effectual [energeo] fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. 17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. 18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit. (Jas5:16- 18)
And Elijah said to Ahab, Get you up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain. 42 So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees, 43 And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times. 44 And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there arises a little cloud out of the sea, like a man’s hand. And he said, Go up, say to Ahab, Prepare your chariot, and get you down, that the rain stop you not. 45 And it came to pass in the mean while, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel. 46 And the hand of the LORD was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel. (1 Kings 18:41-46)
God has prophetically promised us that He’ll rain His Spirit out upon all flesh but like Elijah we must petition God with His Word.
Elijah stood on this:
And it shall come to pass, if you shall hearken diligently to my commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul, 14 That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your corn, and your wine, and your oil. (Deut 11:13-14)
We can stand on this:
And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: (Joel 2:28)
For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon your seed, and my blessing upon your offspring: 4 And they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water courses. (Is 44:3-4)
Why so little rain in the church?
And it shall come to pass, if you shall hearken diligently to my commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul, 14 That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your corn, and your wine, and your oil. 15 And I will send grass in your fields for your cattle, that you may eat and be full. 16 Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and you turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them; 17 And then the LORD’S wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest you perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD gives you. (Deut 11:13- 17)
Reformation (the chicken or the egg?)
The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing: 9 Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; 10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time [kairos] of reformation [diorthosis- to straighten thoroughly; rectification]. 11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; (Heb 9:8-11)
* Reformation is rectification of the wineskin to celestial rather than hand made.
Baal worship dead in the church before any rain
1 Kin 18:17-42 Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long hesitate you between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him.
Historical moves of God
Jesus - – Jesus prays & preaches, God revives the remnant, reformation occurs, outpouring and Kingdom increase ensues
1st Century – apostles & saints pray and preach, Acts 2 etc revival of God fearers, reformation, outpouring and Kingdom increase
All the great moves of God throughout church history were limited by lack of reform to biblical, celestial wineskins…
Finney n Nash, Azusa St, Welsh, Pentecostal, Latter Rain, Charismania…
Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make know my words to you. (Prov 1:23)
